A textile print based around the technological innovation of biometric authentication; the process in which computers use some part of your physical makeup to authenticate you.
The design was focused around how most of us use this technology every day with our mobile phones. Focusing on facial recognition and fingerprints, the pattern was built using the visual language of how computers see facial nodal points and scan finger prints.
A utility vest was then made out of the pattern printed on canvas material. The pockets on the vest were made to the dimensions of a mobile phone. After experimenting with how best to add 3-dimensional detail to the jacket, embroidered shapes highlighted features of the vest. Parts of a broken iPhone were then added to further emphasise the futuristic theme of the vest.

An enthusiastic designer who merges analogue and digital methods. Versatile and unafraid of experimentation, I am keen to test a variety of possible outcomes, with the aim of creating unique and striking designs. Mindful of the technicalities of graphic design, I have an eye for detail, producing work that is not only visually pleasing, but fit for purpose.
